After First Presentation In Degree Course

Finally I'm able to breathe a little! The presentation for my website design went smoothly and there were comments from both my leturer and tutor. Said my nagivations and contents were good, but lack of design. I need to improve my sense of design...

Am still trying to work on other subject's assignments. At least we have more time now. I'm glad. =) There's still lots of work though. I didn't want to do any because I'm very tired. I think I'm going to get sick soon. I'm feverish... But I hope not. I can't afford to get sick at this time of the day. I still need to stay up for assignments!

Geez... Am bored. I think I'll go play some mini games before starting some work now. Have a nice day ahead people~

Website Icons

I think I recalled telling you guys that I have a project that requires us to produce a website of our own. It's freestyle, so it's hard to think of a topic as the range is so wide and you can talk about just anything.

So here I present you my 'home' icon for my website. I think most of you had stumbled upon this icon in other websites. It's the button to get back to the main page.

I think I like this very much. It has lots of colours and is of the theme of my website - colours. Yes, I'm doing a personal website about colours. And I name my site "Simple Colour Full". I lack of creative names and I'm not good at naming things. T_T

I miss our foundation class, although we can still see our friends from the Graphic Design and Illustration course from time to time. They are just as busy as us from Multimedia Design. Yeah I do miss them...

Is Life So?

My life had this sudden change that I didn't want it to happen as well. It's like... Everything became so meaningless and lifeless. And it applies to both my private life and college life.

So... About my college life. I'm still struggling with my assignments and the deadlines. Life can be unfair sometimes, but that's what makes you improve in life... Or so to speak. In fact, it might even be the opposite, depending on how one interprets this opportuniy given to them.

Study time is usually from morning till late evening for three days, the other two being in the afternoon till late evening again. We're short of time for doing assignments. Well, I can't really use the term 'short of time', because it would still depend on how we utilise a limited time given to finish our work. Procrastination is another story. Our usual classes ends at 6pm or later. Say, an average number of us reached home by 8 p.m. and still need to have dinner and shower before starting our work. Make it 9 p.m that we start doing our assignments and our usually bedtime would be at 1 p.m. perhaps. Four hours. Some would think that it's sufficient to finish most of our work with this amount of time. Think again.

Before we start our work, we need to do mindmaps and researches either from the internet or books or any other references. That is hell of a time-consuming work. Maybe it takes up half of the working time? This too, depends on how one manages it and the amount of information they wanna gather. Done researching and mindmapping... How about sketches now? =D

Let's not talk about work now. It's giving me more stress (but why the hell would I tell it to you guys earlier? =_=) but I just wanna give a brief idea of how it goes. This applies to me and most of my classmates I guess... Or am I the only one that does work like that? O_o Oh well, doesn't matter...

I won't be talking about the problems in my private life now, because it's private. (duh!) Yes, some common family issues and personal issues... It's normal in life. Just that we need to handle it with care and do what we think is right. Friends are important as well as they give ideas and share our thoughts.

That's about it for my post today. I know it's a lot of words. For those who do not bother to read such posts in the future, you may choose to just ignore my 'wordy' posts. I'm just expressing myself here. I'm kind of stressed and depressed lately because of the above mentioned problems. But I think it's normal. Who doesn't have stress? Even if it's the slightest one... Anyway I'm off to sleep now. Have not been sleeping well lately. Have a great day ahead people~

A Busy Friday

Nah... It's not really a busy one. Just that I've lots of stuff to do in the weekends. Bah! I hate assignments. Who likes them anyway...? But it's still an assignment. We still need to finish it in the end.

I'm bored. But there's a lot of work waiting for me right this very moment. I'm going to finish them bit by bit. How I wish we have more time. T_T But as our lecturers said, we have to work smart and fast. Every seconds is like gold.

Those Jpop

Thanks to arashi for the songs. I felt quite outdated with recent Jpops as I don't listen to the radio or get in touch with Jpop in any form, although I wished that I was... T_T It's been some time since I've gotten new Japanese songs.

I've gotten a list of songs from Greeen, Funky Monkey Babys, Orange Range and some other bands or singers that I'm not very familar with. But I love the songs from Greeen and Funky Monkey Babys. Their style of singing is quite similar, which would remind me of both bands when I'm listening to either one. I'm happy. =) ThanksI arashi!

Been trying to download more anime songs but there aren't many nice ones nowadays. I feel quite outdated, seriously. There are lots of other songs that I wanted to download. =P But I've been being very busy lately and don't have the time to really get into this song 'research'. Well, will try to do so when I've finished my assignments.

Damn Those Assignments

I have no other words to describe how I feel. It's just that, I feel that time passes so quickly and it's only two weeks left to our assignment submission. T_T Damn...

First assignment - website design. It's freestyle, which makes it harder for us as the scope is so wide we need time to choose something we like. I prefered if we were given a category. I was doing something about my imaginary world, and it's related to colours and moods. Then, I realised that we need to add in interactivity, not just simple clicks. Damn...

Second assignment - media cultures and histories essay, plus I-map. It's a 3000 word essay, plus another 500 words in the I-map. Also, we are to prepare and update a media folder which consist of personal data, collection of images and researches, opinions from the public or friends, and some other random things. It's not as easy as you think. The titles are already a burden although there are ten choices to choose from, but all are equally hard to understand. Oh but this is to be submitted in September. Still, the time isn't that long. Damn...

Third assignment - group short video production. We need to write scripts and our story has minor problems but we're trying to solve it. We also need to start production early because I'm afraid that we won't have lots of time to work on this as we have other assignments. And we also need to draw a storyboard for the video and set up things such as lighting equipments. Damn...

Forth assignment - my positronic visions. What does it means? It means... Draw yourself as a robot and how you see the world through your eyes. But it has to be a third person view and needs to have continuity to it. Complicated enough to understand? Well, it is. Even I don't really understand it but I think it's the simplest way to explain it. Sounds difficult even for one piece of illustration? We need five illustrations. Does it sound more difficult? Yes. Damn...

Fifth assigment - none. Well not really none, but it's just an extra subject to enhance our knowledge. It's about typography. We need to do lots of researches about it. I'm not sure if we would have any work to bring home. I hope there won't be though. Damn...

Enough of those damns. I need to start doing some research and doodle any idea I can think of. Have a nice day ahead people~ Wish me luck. XD

Farewell Little Hamster

I won't be talking much today as I'm not really in a good mood. There's a few things that really didn't make my day today...

Aside from having a good start in college, the other half of the day seemed tough in class. I've also received some tough and rather harsh comments from the lecturer but that's ok. I know it's for my own good because I think I wasn't good enough but I tried my best. Sometimes I just have very limited ideas or a short limit. Yeah I know I suck...

Plus, the assignments due dates are closing by. I haven't started to panic but it's just that things are a little too fast for me. I am trying my best to cope up though. There's so much researches to do and ideas to be thought about. I need more brain juice.

Lastly, I had a great shock when I came home. When I checked on my hamsters, Yuki and Miz seemed alright but I didn't see the little one around. When I checked inside the coloured tubes in Miz's cage, all I saw was leftover of its leg and hand parts... T_T I felt so sad and down... How could Miz eat her own child... It's really a great shock because I've lost something that seemed so precious to me in just one day. I'm also sad because I haven't get to know its gender and it had already been eaten up. I thought Miz wasn't as bad as what I've seen in the internet. But it seems that I'm wrong.

Time to get some rest and start some work now. I'm still feeling sad and down but what to do? I can't continue like that forever right? Hope everything else will be ok for me. I'm just kind of depressed over the death of something so fragile and powerless. Just yesterday I wished that it will grow up so that I can cuddle it. Well anyway let's forget it now. Have a nice day people...

Happy Birthday Fishball and Little Hamster

Today is Ball's (fishball) birthday! Happy birthday to her! XD Hope she had a great time and may her wishes come true. Also, keep up the good work in your illustrations and workstuffs. Hope to see more of your work. =)

In the same day, Miz gave birth to a hamster pup. Yes I know it's odd but she only gave birth to ONE pup. Wished Jr was here... The pup has no father. T_T I'm not sure if it's Lil Miz or Lil Jr. It's so pink and sort of scary because it's hairless. O_o But I'm proud of Miz and hope she takes good care of it. ^^ I can only touch the pup in three weeks time.

I know it's boring because I haven't been posting up pictures lately. So here I am doing some assingment-related stuffs in Photoshop and I'll post it up here in this post.

Some shiny pendant thing...

Well it was suppose to be some robotic parts because we were to use it in our assignments. We're required to draw five pictures which are 800 x 600 pixels of robotic stuffs. And this was taught in our tutorial lesson so that we may apply this shiny thing into part(s) of the robot we were asked to draw. Next week our lecturer will teach us how to paint a robot. Wow...

Anyway it's time I resume my assignments. Mindmaps, scripts, ideas, etc... There's a lot of thinking and research to be done. I've to write down my ideas and show it to the lecturer so that I can continue further with my assignments. If not, I feel lost. T_T Well, time to go now! Have a nice day ahead~

Steamboat

Today was just a normal day. Nothing much happened. Am bored but still did some mindmaps and researches.

Oh by the way did I mention that my big hamster, Junior (Jr) had gone missing for more than a week already? I was sad for a number of days till I finally calmed myself saying he just went for a vacation and hopefully be back soon. But now he seemed to have migrated to somewhere else. Perhaps the United States of America? Or maybe Hawaii? I don't know. Just hope he's enjoying himself wherever he is.

Anyway it has nothing to do with today's title. Just that I went to eat steamboat with my family this evening for dinner. It's been ages since I've eaten steamboat... The feeling of putting in the ingredients and watching them being boiled then take them out to eat seems fun. I hardly enjoy eating anyway. Lol.

My Potato Salad

I wasn't having the appetite to eat after I came home from class today. It was already almost 7 p.m. but I just didn't feel like eating. But I still ate a little rice and whatever that was on the dining table. Afterall, I didn't wanna waste food. =)

After that, something just came into my mind... And it was potato salad. My cousin sister used to make and and brought it over for me some time last year. So now I modified her version and made my own instead. Boiled some potatoes and peeled off the skin, then cutting them into 1cm x 1cm cubes. (you can cut it into your preferable size) Then cut some raw onions into very tiny squares, or the length that you prefer and trow them together with the cut potatoes into a big bowl. I've also added in hard boiled eggs (I added only the egg white, but you may use the whole egg) which were cut into little cubes. After that, wait for the potato to cool down a moment and add the amount of mayonnaise you desire. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to your taste and wait till the potato is slightly cooled down before you put the mixture into the fridge to chill. Served chilled but you may eat it once you're done. Just that I prefer mine cold.

You may also add in your own ingredients such as carrots, celery, herbs such as parsley or anything you can think of. I didn't add celery in because I don't like them, but it makes the potato salad more crunchy if you add it. Cucumber helps too. =) It's not that difficult to make and it tastes nice. I love it. X3

I'm not here to teach you people how to cook or make up my own recipe. Just that I feel that I should share what food I can create or cook. My mom keeps wanted me to start learning to cook simple food but I refused to because I don't like to cook or get involved with food. But now I feel that a simple start will help me survive the cruel world.

Exotique 4

Yes I've gotten this book today! XD Am damn happy about it. =) Thanks to William for noticing the Indian guy in college. I'm the one who paid for it anyway. =P Nothing else to say now. I'm really happy to have collected half of the series already.

Exotique 5 is coming our in July I think... It costs RM160 according to the Indian guy. Not buying it yet. Will wanna search for Exotique 1 and 2 first. Bye all, and have a great dat ahead~

Exotique 3

Just yesterday I bought this book. (not me actually, William bought it but I was the one paying for it) I wanted the whole Exotique series! It's just the best thing I can ever have this year! But Exotique 3 is good enough for now. =) It keeps me occupied. I can keep reading it forever.

This book is about some of the best CG (computer graphic) illustrations. All compiled in a book. It's done by various artists from all over the world. It's a good collection for art people or those who are interested in these illustrations. I personally love it a lot.

I'm waiting for new stocks to come for the other Exotique series. Can't wait to lay my hands on them. They shall be my precious collection and reference all the time. Although I can't steal ideas from in there because it's by the other artists. Hope art or CG lovers would love this book.
