Vector

Computer Application class assignment again! This time it's a better and more exciting one. It's called vectoring! I think most of you might know what's this so Miz doesn't need to explain it.

Look closely. Don't say it's the same thing. There should be even the slightest difference. Miz's vectoring skills are not perfect yet. Sobs... Well let Miz explain to you guys for those of you who are not very sure what Miz meant.

Picture 1 is the original picture. For you guys who don't know, this is a character from Rozen Maiden. (An anime.) Picture 2 is the one Miz vectored. ^^ It's not really the same as the original one... Seriously. Don't get too excited over it and tell Miz it's a good job. Miz don't deserve it yet. T_T Vectored using Adobe Illustrator CS3.

Ok nothing more for Miz to say. Will stop right here and get back to work! Have to pass up paper sculptures for tomorrow's Design Class... So~ Have a nice day to all! =)

Computer Application's First Assignment

So... Miz will now tell you all how scary Computer Application class is! It's evil... Ok about the assignment, although it sounds easy but it's NOT AT ALL!!!

We were required to learn some basic tools in Adobe Illustrator CS3. After that, we had short practice so that the lecturer makes sures we remember what was taught. Doesn't sound hard yet right? ^^ So here comes the assignment part... We were required to make (Or rather, create...) an animal with a musical instrument that represents ourselves. Still sounds simple and interesting eh? Wait a little longer for the horrible part...

Here comes~ The thing is, it actually ain't that difficult. But most of us are new to this software, and the controls are so different from Adobe Photoshop! Miz knows how to use simple Photoshop tools and effects. But wait till you, as a dummy and is first time using Illustrator, you will fear it! Seriously... It also limits many things. Even using the common Paint is much better than this. O_o

Miz took two damn days to finish it. Will post it up here after this... Had lots of difficult times colouring the damn picture, and not to mention that making the basic shapes out of the simple shape tools is already a killer. Miz will survive! For Miz is going into multimedia design course... Sobs... T_T Hopefully they'll not use Illustrator anymore... Miz would rather use other softwares than Illustrator.

Miz named this art "Foxy Lurves Harpy". Pretty neat eh? =D

All of the components (Except the grass, cloud and flowers...) were made of simple shapes, the pen tool and a little bit of brush. But the functions are so different! Ooh... Miz hates it. Well anyway that's all for today. Catch you all again soon~ Have a nice day ahead!

The Days of Hard Work has just Begun!

Yes it's very true. Miz just realised this... Compared to the last semester, this semester is way much tougher although it's just the starting of the second week. Workload has increased for sure but we don't know by how much yet. T_T Hope it isn't a lot...

Lecturers had already warned us that we may need to sacrifice more sleeping hours on our projects and researches. Miz did sacrificed some time for some final projects last semester, but hearing that makes Miz thinks that more sleeping hours had to be sacrificed this time. New things are learnt in this semester, such as Computer Application and History of Art. As compared to last semester which had more of those 'language' classes such as IELTS and Study skills, which requires more typing of reports and presentation, this semester focuses more on using computer drawing softwares and further training of drawing skills. It sounds so much more fun right? Truth is, it hurts more... Such cruelty~

Fun is one thing, Miz admits that it's more fun now, just that... Hope Miz can cope up with the workload and stress. Hopefully Miz will be able to handle it. Miz can do it! If not... Don't know how we people can manage to survive the coming years... Or even the next term. =_= Once we get settled more, maybe things will get better than what we expected then.

Taboo Game

Today was design class. It was in the former Fine Art's Room but then it turned into a classroom called F1. Many parts of Miz's college was renovated while it was Miz's semester break. =) Well, this has nothing to do with the Taboo gam so Miz will skip this part.

After having lectured by Wei Meng, who also previously taught us in Design last semester, we played the Taboo game! Those of you who do not know what game that is, Miz will tell you now! It's a card game! Google it up for more information if you wanna know more. ^^

So, when all of us done taking our turns playing, it was time for the lesson of the game. It's as simple as just finding alternative ways to find the solution. Don't let any barriers get in your way as there will be other ways to solve a problem, not just one.

Miz Needs a Break...

Doesn't mean that Miz will stop blogging for some time... Maybe will post less often or so. Not really sure yet. Why? Because... Miz have to start another blog (Not in Blogspot.) for work purpose, requested by Miz's Computer Application class lecturer, Mr Li Wen.

Miz is not sure yet of what to put in that blog. Maybe our lecturer will tell us about it later on. It'll be tough to manage two blogs at a time. Depending on the amount of work and time to manage the new blog, Miz may post things as usual in this blog. =) It's not that bad after all... Hopefully.

Lately, Miz had trouble sleeping... Will go to bes at 1 a.m but only fall asleep one or two hours later. This is bad! And it can't go on forever if not Miz will lack of sleep and dies during class. (Joking. =P) Hope Miz gets use to sleeping fast again, since Miz had been sleeping at 2 a.m or 3 a.m during the semester break.

Lastly, Miz needs a break in doing assignments. There's no escape when it's about assignments, but now the amount of assignments are increasing~ Miz just need some free time to take a short break, go for class outings, or do some personal art of Miz's own which is unrelated to Miz's assignments. Miz isn't asking for too much... Right?

Will stop posting for now. Very tired today. @_@ Am getting a good rest for today~ Luckily tomorrow's Design class is in the afternoon. Miz gets to wake up later. XD Well then see you guys again later! Have a great day ahead~

Miz Wants to Open an Art Shop!

This is one of those silly dreams Miz had. XD Guess why? Answer is really as simple as... Because Miz wanna own lots of stationaries and enjoy looking at art stuffs.

Whenever Miz goes to the art shop that sells extraordinary art stuffs, (Those that you can't buy in normal bookstores such as Popular or Big Book Shop.) Mis would spend most of the time looking at those glorious materials. Ranged from different sizes of brushes to different colours of paint and so on... Miz enjoy looking at colour materials more. Colourpencils, markers and paints are Miz's favourites whenever Miz goes anywhere, especially these art shops.

One more fact about Miz is that... Miz loves to own coloured materials that have the most colours~ ^^ Miz would always go for the set of materials that has the most number of colours. So far Miz is aiming for Prismacolor colour pencils with a number of 132 colours. O.O Can anyone sponsor Miz~~ These colour pencils are very expensive if bought locally. Miz wanted to buy it online but mom refuse as they needed your credit card number and stuff like that. Mom is scared that they will hack us. Will they? O_o

So, in order to look at these great art stuffs everyday, Miz dreamt of opening an art shop of Miz's own in the future. =D But don't think so this would happen... Mom would kill me~ X3 Well then that's all for today. Hopefully Miz gets to go to the art shops in Petaling Street. There are a few shops and Miz wanted to look at the prices of the materials sold there. Anyway see you all again soon. Take care and have a nice day~

Let's Make Someone Smile

This isn't the title of Miz's new art for today. It's just what Miz wanted to talk about. =) Saying things are often easy, but wanting to do it always seem pretty hard. Don't you guys agree? Yeah it's just the truth...

Let's all make someone smile! XD But how? There are many ways and things you can do to make anyone smile, no matter who they are... It doesn't matter if they're your family, relatives, friends or people that you may or may not know. Simple little things you do can make people happy, and therefore will bring a smile to their face. For example, by saying please and thank you when you ask for something or just to do a favour. People will be happy when you're being polite. (Miz thinks even kids know this already.) For today Miz is gonna talk about someone else... And a simple little step that may help you bring a smile on them and even to yourself.
Before that, let's just take a moment to look at Miz's art! (It's not that pretty, you don't have to look at it so long. T_T)

Miz had put a background for this piece of art, but it seemed to spoil the whole picture so Miz just deleted it. Anyway there's a message that Miz wanted to convery to everyone and anyone out there... Well, Miz will keep it short and simple since Miz doubts that people will read it anyway.

Your old toys can bring happiness to the children of the poor. Although they may need other forms of help such as: Donation of money, food and hygienic water, health care... Etc. If you're someone who wanted to help them but an't afford to donate financially, then you can help by donating something from your home. Old, unwanted toys can help bring happiness and entertainment to the children. Some of your old clothes that can still keep them warm and safe could also be donated.

Even if your toys looked like the one in Miz art, they would still appreciate it. (Don't donate toys that are too old or causes harm and danger to them though!) Think about it... Rather than throwing your toys away, you could give them to the poor children and bring a smile across their face~
