I Have A Girlish Brother

I know that I've abandoned my blog for a period of time. I didn't mean to do that but I've been working extra hard for my current term since I did badly in the last one.

Now, I didn't mean that my brother is sissy (maybe sometimes...) or acting all like a gay, (although occasionally it happens) but it's because of his 'need' for dressing up himself properly. Yes, there seems nothing wrong with someone dressing up for everyday life or special occasions. Wait till you listen to what I have to say to make up your mind if he should be born as a girl. Even I'm not as bad as he is.

This morning mom woke me up at 7.00am sharp. My brother was already having his shower probably ages ago since dad finished using the bathroom early. I know it because he's already waiting at the living room while mom went down to the kitchen. I packed my bags to get ready and went down to the couch and rested there while waiting for my brother to finish bathing.

It was 10 minutes already when everyone is waiting for him. I can forgive him at this point because I used to take 30 minutes shower sometimes. When he's finally done about another 2 minutes later, he went to his room to pack up and do last minute checking has he will be going to a trip with his classmates today.

Seeing that, dad had the car ready and I hopped in the car to take another short rest. It was after 5 minutes that I realise my brother's still upstairs. Probably putting on perfumes and stuff... Because he reeks of... I don't know. Some weird smell. He took another 10 f***ing minutes for I don't know what. Everyone was waiting for him outside the house! And he can still take his sweet time dressing up like a girl.

He doesn't look or act like one. (most of the time though) But he can dress up way longer than a girl would put on her make up. Honestly, it really pissed me off because when I waited in the house, it was really hot and I feel like fainting. When I waited in the car, I got bitten by mosquitoes. I told dad, if he had walked me over to my grandma's place, he still had time to spare waiting for my brother! Jeez... Early morning blues. I hate that very much!

Oh by the way, he (my brother) wants to have his ears pierced. See how girly he can be?

Procrastination

Here I am, many times telling myself to do my homework but ended up procrastinating. I wonder why do we have such a habit to begin with...

I wonder... Why don't I procrastinate when playing games? Why don't I procrastinate when I do something I like? Why don't I procrastinate at anything else but doing homework... And eating. XD Sometimes I takes me hours to go eat something. I can only eat when I'm really hungry, or if I'm hungry but the mood is there. ;D

It feels horrible. And I always contradict with myself. I will tell myself... Today is the day I do something. But at the end of the day (usually at night) I will say... It's ok I have tomorrow and the days after. BUT!!! I do feel panick at the same time. I guess if my mood isn't there, there's no way I'd do my homeworks. Or eat.

Sometimes, or most of the time, I blame myself for this bad character. I didn't want it to happen to me. I try not to be lazy, but it's hard to get rid of bad habits. I promised to myself I will work hard. I did try and it did improve, but I'm not satisfied with my level of improvement. I wanted something more. Something that if people sees it, they go "Wow, she changed to be a hardworking girl!" But I don't feel the improvements in myself yet. I guess it takes time...

Virtual VS Dreams

That's correct. I love dreams and virtual stuffs better than those in reality, but not everything though. Just most of it.

In dreams, you can do anything you want. There are all sorts of dreams you can dream of. It can be about your future, fantasy related, or any other genre. Though it may not happen in reality, but a glimpse of a good dream is enough to be remembered.

I treasure dreams, although most of my dreams were nightmares. Because I couldn't experience them in real life and it won't happen anyway. Falling off in the middle of climbing a ladder which leads to nowhere? Chased by zombies and forced to jump off an old building? Caught by aliens and killed by them? Nah... These would never happen in real life. And it's just a small part of my nightmares.

I prefer loving virtual icons and fictional characters. They never really die or fade away. Take Hatsune Miku for example: She wouldn't never really die and still stay the same form even after years later, unless someone portrays her at her old age. XD You may call me a sicko or something similar, but that's just how I feel. I know my actions might be ridiculous, but it's what keeps me in my comfort zone.

There's more to what I have to say, but that's about what I wanted to share for now. I'm feeling pretty down and emotional lately. I wish I had better dreams these days to cheer me up. ^^

Stop Lying

I was encouraged and inspired by an article I read in Danny Choo's blog. Click here to read about it.

What he mentioned in the article is very true. He also mentioned about himself and other common examples, which I felt was what I've actually been through. After reading about it, I felt that I should stop lying to myself and continue with what's best for me and everyone else.

Anyway, change of topic here! Just a short one though. There was a presentation involving our SWAY Production group yesterday. It was held in the school Audio Visual Hall, and there were many other students from the diploma course from Multimedia Design, as well as lecturer and guests. I guess there were around 50 people or more, and it was the first time I've given a presentation in front of so many people.

Our group (Stezon, William, arashi and me) presented our video and sharing, and it went on smoothly. Anyhow, there was a particular image with made me almost burst out laughing in the middle of the presentation.


It's seriously still funny whenever I look at it. Have a look:

I've blogged about this previously and this image was included in the blog post. But I couldn't help laughing because... See that screen over there? It's called a bouncer. Behind it lies a girl... Which is me, and only me. That thing covered me entirely except for my feet! It was so funny looking back at this image! Never knew that I was THAT tiny. Hahahaha...!!!

Piranha Movie

Went with the pineapple to Sunway Pyramid for a movie before he goes back to his hometown. We watched Piranha!

I wonder why do they always need sexy women when it's a movie related to thriller/horror and beaches. I mean, it doesn't really make any difference at all. By the way, the movie ain't that great. Well, to me it's just average. And it's my first thriller movie! Hmm... Maybe it was Godzilla. That was when I'm still a little noob kid. XD

Piranha was a little related to a project topic I'm working on. But then it can just be a reference. Lol... It wasn't as disgusting as I thought. Plus, there's not a lot about the piranha fishes. I expected more about piranhas, but the story is all about those fishes eating humans in the lake. Gosh...

Well the effects were not bad. The piranha pack does not seem too real enough. But yeah it's great. The blood and all that were realistic though. People being bitten off bit and pieces. It's gross, but I managed to survive because I had popcorn with me. =)

That's about it for the movie. Don't want to talk a lot about it because I'm disappointed at the cut scenes. =(

What To Do During Semester Break

I was kind of planning about what to do during my coming semester break.

Here's a list of things I MUST complete:

- Authoring Interactive Narrative project (according to timeline).

- Teamwork Practices Project 2 and 3, along with group discussions.

- Content Management for Mobile and Network Media project's progress and research.

- Wrap my books that are turning yellow.

- Look for inspiring art and references to enhance my art style.

- Play lots of games.


Well, had more in mind but I'm not sure if I can finish it. So here's just a very short list to start out with. =(

Tired And Worried

Since the end of my first project for Authoring Interactive Narrative, I've been worried everyday till the present.

It's not like I would purposely be worried about a past project. And there's nothing else I can do to improve on it (although there's a lot to improve on) because it was submitted already.

I think I didn't do my best this time round. Had learned my lesson. But I do not hope I will fail because I still put lots of effort into drawing. I would try to do my best in the coming second project. I promise.

Well, I guess I've been demotivated a lot this year (and semester), for reasons that even I'm unsure of. Many things happened that also affected my passion and creativity, and the energy to strive for the very best. I've been thinking if I can change all these... I have to anyway.

Hope everyone who's dealing with projects or tests can do their best. No last minute work and always flame up your passion. Don't let it die out no matter what the cost!

360:Through The Line Logo Design

I ought to try something new but it's not a new thing for me. Before entering college I was experimenting with Photoshop and went online for tutorials and see what I can do with my level of skills in Photoshop.

Now I realise my skills were worse than before I entered college. Hmm...

I did a logo design... Well there's a given template, and I just need to decorate and turn it into something of my interpretation about it.

Wanted to turn it into a more matrix looking design, but a friend told me it was an 'old' design. Not many people are fond of it now. Hope I did good. Wasn't really satisfied with it.

Tekken Movie

Went to watch Tekken today for no reason. Supposed to watch Despicable Me at 2pm, but because of the jam outside Mid Valley, it took us some time to get into the parking lots and got caught in there for more than half an hour. Thus, it was nearly 2.40pm when we finally found a parking space.

Overall I don't really enjoy it because the storyline is quite poor. Well, I mean there's a story but it doesn't really feel like a story. All the events happen in the tournament and the ending wasn't pretty much fantastic. It's all about fighting and bloody killing scenes. But the characters are ok, although not much similar to that of the game. I wish it was a Japanese movie, although they have certain dialogue which is Japanese. I could finally understand some Japanese language without the help of subtitles! Hooray!!! XD

Tomorrow will go watch Despicable Me before it's off the screen! This time I must find a parking space! That's why I would need to speed up in finishing my project as fast as possible.

Ok now that I'm finished with today's post I need to resume my work. I'm not so free to be posting lots of things now. My blog is 60% dead. Although I have lots of things I wanna post.

New Blog Layout

I'm very pleased with my new layout and banner! of course credits are given to the artist, which I've written at the bottom left corner of the banner. I'm in love with BRS! XD

Will continue changing my blog layout bits by bits to achieve the final look and feel I'm satisfied with. I want my theme to be as close to BRS as possible. Am trying to figure out how to achieve it though.

Can't wait for BRS animation to be released!!! I MUST WATCH IT!!!!! Thanks to artist Huke for designing such great characters and finally made an animation of it. But I wonder why Miku doesn't have her own animation. =(

Nothing much to say now. I'm feeling tired... Although I just woke up from my 2 hour 'nap'. =D Will try blogging as often as I can so that I don't let my fans down. If I have any... =_=

Fly Conversation

Went to Secret Recipe (can't reveal which branch we went) with two of my cousins today for their teatime special promotion. While eating our cakes, we saw a fly flying around the brownies area. And so goes our conversation...


Me: Look there's a fly in the glass! (where they store the brownies and pies)

Cousin A: OMG it's disgusting! and the door is not open to let the fly out.

Cousin B: Calm down it's not such a bad thing after all.

Me and Cousin A: Ewwwwwwwwww...... why?!

Cousin B: It's just a flying raisin. =)

Me and Cousin A: ............. =_=

(pause)

Me: You guys go tell the worker about the fly.

Cousin B: Why don't you tell?

(at this point there's a mix of Malay and English)

Cousin A: Ada lalat.

Me: =_= don't tell us...

Cousin B: Ada lalat terbang and stop...

Cousin A: Ada lalat terbang and hinggap la!

Me: Hinggap di atas brownie.

Cousin B: No no wait!!! Aunt once said... 'parking' (stop)! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Me and Cousin A: HAHAHAHAHA that's so true!

Cousin A: Parking without paying. That's why people chase it away.

Me: Lol.

Cousin A: Lalat terbang and parking kat brownie.

(pause)

Cousin A: Ok let's go pay and ciao. XD

Cousin B was on the phone and I was watching the fly 'parking' on the other pies and carrot cakes. After paying, we left for home. That's the end of the Fly Conversation...

Me: Hey what's this packet of stuff?
(takes packet of stuff and opens it)

Dad: whats inside?

Me: Popcorn!
(om nom nom...)

Dad: (faces mom) It's so expensive and not worth buying! Don't buy this anymore.

Mom: I didn't know it was popcorn.

Dad: (points to packet) Doesn't this picture shows popcorn?

Me: (looks at packet) Doesn't really look like popcorn.

Mom: =)

Me: Maybe it's all japanese so mom didn't know it was popcorn anyway.

Mom: =)

Me: (looks closer at packet and gasps) Hey mom there's this word 'caramel popcorn'... =_= How can you not read it?!

Mom: LOL!

Dad: ......... (walks away)

Lol it's only 3 items in my wishlist... Maybe I'm not really interested in other figurines since I got myself mini Vocaloids some time ago. Costs me quite a huge sum. T_T I'm gonna save up my money to get these! That is, if they're still available.

Poster For Earth Day

I designed a poster on Earth Day itself because I was motivated by a friend and at the same time wanted to be productive during my semester break. I wasn't really productive for the whole month, therefore I decided to do something.

There's no precise poster format. Actually it wasn't meant to be a poster anyway. I don't know... Lol. I'm really satisfied with the outcome of this 'poster'. I really put in lots of effort (without doing much research) technically.

Wall Stickers For Sale - Second Update

Just to update about the new wall stickers my cousin got for me, along with those posted in the previous post. Old stickers were restocked, but very limited quantity as this is only a 'small business' which I take as a hobby during my semester break which ends in May this year.

Again, some things which should be noted:

1. Big stickers are sold for MYR3.00, whereas small ones are sold for MYR2.00.

2. Only selling to friends or people introduced by my friends or family. Buy only if interested.

3. Selling only in small quantity. (below 10 pieces)

4. Pre-order accepted if the design wanted is out of stock. (pm me or leave a comment) I will try to
restock the amount requested.

I do not make a big profit out of selling these wall stickers. I'm just doing it as I find that these are something interesting and would like to share with friends and family. It's just some 'part time work' to spend my time during the semester break.

Wall Stickers For Sale

Bought some wall stickers with cousin sister today. =) Was satisfied although the one I liked had been sold off but new ones are likely to come!

Big ones are sold for RM3 whereas the smaller ones are sold for RM2. Damn cheap.
I'm planning to sell some of my shares to my friends.

These pictures are scanned with by home scanner so please excuse the poor quality. Only the sunflower sticker was taken from another website because there's no finished example for it.


Also, excuse my Photoshop skills because I didn't want to edit them perfectly and I don't see any reason to do so as long as someone is able to see the stickers properly.

To demonstrate the size of the "tree with birds and falling leaves" sticker, I'll post up the two pictures of the finished outcome I took with my cellphone. Forgive the poor quality once again. =)


I sticked it! =D It's in the living room in my grandma's home.


Compare it to the size of the electric socket .


The size of this tree is approximately 120cm in height and 50-60cm in width depending on the spacing of how you place the fallen leaves. Big stickers are around that size. I'm not sure about the small ones because they vary in length and width.

Dad and I went to the bookstore called "Xcess" in Amcorp Mall this afternoon to get some books because the bookstore sold books up to twice as cheap as those bought from other bookstores. (can't name 'em. Ahem...)

Wow I've actually gotten 6 books, while dad bought only 3. XD Amount doesn't matter anyway, as long as the book benefits us. Plus, dad actually had a discount card and we had 5% discount off the whole bunch of books we bought. All these total up to less than RM300. Cheap ain't it? =)

I Name You Weedy

I found some stray weeds growing together with the grasses in my garden. And I thought I should save a weed because some of them were really beautiful.

After looking through for some small weed plants, I found a growing weedling and plucked it out slowly with a spade. Then I transferred the little fellow into a lovely small pot.

Meet Weedy:

Maybe I should call it Wendy instead?


I hope it grows up fine in my room. I'll make sure it gets proper watering and sunlight. =D Wait till it grows taller and I'll see what I can do with it. I like the little flowers growing from it.

Movies Watched

In three days I've watched two movie. Not bad, I would say. XD On Monday I watched "Alice in Wonderland" by Tim Burton, and on Wednesday I watched "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" by Chris Columbus.

I would say that the storyline for Alice in Wonderland was very plain and not really interesting, but I credit the movie for its CGs and character design. I love Johnny Depp! =D The music was only so-so and there wasn't really any suspense or eye catching stuffs. My classmate, Vv even commented that Alice in the movie was too... Er... Manly? Or too old... Or was it that she wasn't cute at all? He said that Alice should be a cute little girl. Therefore he wouldn't watch the movie. Lol.

For Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, the storyline was not very interesting again, but yet it had some suspense and stuffs that caught my attention. Also, I think the character designs were great and I loved the Gods and mythological creatures. Medusa was really modern though. Haha... So was Groover the Satyr. I love Greek mytology and their mytological creatures, that's why I kind of enjoyed this movie.

Goodbye With Love Godzilla

I freed Godzilla later this evening. Am feeling sad now as I started missing him not being in my room. =( Reason is, Godzilla was too big for the aquarium we have. Its head can easily reach above the borders of the aquarium.

Can you imagine how long it is? Well, I'm sure you can't. Let's put it this way... Its neck can stretch up to almost 8cm long. And its size is almost twice or more than the size of a computer mouse placed vertically beside each other.
It's quite sad to part with Godzilla as I've taken care of it for almost or more than 2 years. (don't quite remember because it was way too long!)

Watching it grow day by day really made me happy. Although at first I was reluctant to take care of it because it looked ugly. =S But I still took care of it because I wanted a pet really badly that time and this was a free pet. =D the daughter of my mom's friend bought it but went to Singapore, so she had no one to take care of it. So mom took it back for I-don't-know-what reason, and ended up I took care of it. ^^


Anyway, I hope that Godzilla is able to take care of itself when it's in the big pond. There is much more space for it to swim, and hopefully it knows how to... I'm more worried about its diet and the amount of food. Godzilla is really picky, so I don't know about it when it comes to food... Just wish it all the best.
