Hurt

How would you define hurt? What is hurt and how do you encounter hurt? The definition given by Wikipedia was: "Hurt may refer to a painful sensation or to a mental suffering." Hurt is seen as a negative word in every way we see it, and in almost any situation related to it.

Hurt can be in a state of mental or physical as mentioned earlier. Hurt is always related to pain. The pain in your outer or inner part of yourself. What causes you to be hurt? Accidents, murders, deaths, crimes... You name it. Even commiting suicide is hurtful, just that you don't realise it. How about mentally hurt? Betrayal, guilt, lies, backstab... Just to name a few. There's many kinds and forms of hurt around us. It's whether we experienced it or not.

Most of the time we get hurt because of love, may it be unconditional love or not. People who kills someone means that he or she doesn't love the person or is trying to get revenge. They don't see love in their eyes, which mean they don't love the person they want to kill. Breaking up, divorcing and arguments causes us to get hurt too. Just that we get hurt mentally, unless you're talking about violence in it. Friendship causes us to be hurt sometimes. Losing a friend hurts, your good friend back stabbing you or betrayed you... It doesn't feel good at all.

But then again, if we don't get hurt, we won't be able to improve in life. We may tend to get hurt from time to time but it's best to stay away from as many hurtful situations as possible. There's always a lesson learnt from being hurt. Sometimes it just takes a longer time to recover or get over it, but sooner or later we will be back to normal. Maybe our lives would change to be an even better one. Who knows...

A good post you have. Hurt, also can be transformed into Lesson, Experience and Motivation. Hurt doesn't always fall on the negative sides, just as if we don't fall down, we will not learn how to pick ourselves up. Hurt helps us to grow stronger and more matured. People will success if they can overcome hurt, but not running away from it.

Yea, I experienced before, in many different area. Also I hate movies that portraying the character escapes from being hurt or talk something irresponsible such as "I think I should move away from my sadness" or "I must hide myself so that I won't get hurt" and etc. This create a "guide" the leads the young to be a very dramatic or should say childish individuals, trying to run away from hurt besides facing it.
