Computer Application class assignment again! This time it's a better and more exciting one. It's called vectoring! I think most of you might know what's this so Miz doesn't need to explain it.

Look closely. Don't say it's the same thing. There should be even the slightest difference. Miz's vectoring skills are not perfect yet. Sobs... Well let Miz explain to you guys for those of you who are not very sure what Miz meant.

Picture 1 is the original picture. For you guys who don't know, this is a character from Rozen Maiden. (An anime.) Picture 2 is the one Miz vectored. ^^ It's not really the same as the original one... Seriously. Don't get too excited over it and tell Miz it's a good job. Miz don't deserve it yet. T_T Vectored using Adobe Illustrator CS3.

Computer Application's First Assignment

So... Miz will now tell you all how scary Computer Application class is! It's evil... Ok about the assignment, although it sounds easy but it's NOT AT ALL!!!

We were required to learn some basic tools in Adobe Illustrator CS3. After that, we had short practice so that the lecturer makes sures we remember what was taught. Doesn't sound hard yet right? ^^ So here comes the assignment part... We were required to make (Or rather, create...) an animal with a musical instrument that represents ourselves. Still sounds simple and interesting eh? Wait a little longer for the horrible part...

Here comes~ The thing is, it actually ain't that difficult. But most of us are new to this software, and the controls are so different from Adobe Photoshop! Miz knows how to use simple Photoshop tools and effects. But wait till you, as a dummy and is first time using Illustrator, you will fear it! Seriously... It also limits many things. Even using the common Paint is much better than this. O_o

Miz took two damn days to finish it. Will post it up here after this... Had lots of difficult times colouring the damn picture, and not to mention that making the basic shapes out of the simple shape tools is already a killer. Miz will survive! For Miz is going into multimedia design course... Sobs... T_T Hopefully they'll not use Illustrator anymore... Miz would rather use other softwares than Illustrator.

Presenting... Miz's first Computer Application assignment~

Miz named this art "Foxy Lurves Harpy". Pretty neat eh? =D

All of the components (Except the grass, cloud and flowers...) were made of simple shapes, the pen tool and a little bit of brush. But the functions are so different! Ooh... Miz hates it. Well anyway that's all for today. Catch you all again soon~ Have a nice day ahead!

The Days of Hard Work has just Begun!

Yes it's very true. Miz just realised this... Compared to the last semester, this semester is way much tougher although it's just the starting of the second week. Workload has increased for sure but we don't know by how much yet. T_T Hope it isn't a lot...

Lecturers had already warned us that we may need to sacrifice more sleeping hours on our projects and researches. Miz did sacrificed some time for some final projects last semester, but hearing that makes Miz thinks that more sleeping hours had to be sacrificed this time. New things are learnt in this semester, such as Computer Application and History of Art. As compared to last semester which had more of those 'language' classes such as IELTS and Study skills, which requires more typing of reports and presentation, this semester focuses more on using computer drawing softwares and further training of drawing skills. It sounds so much more fun right? Truth is, it hurts more... Such cruelty~

Fun is one thing, Miz admits that it's more fun now, just that... Hope Miz can cope up with the workload and stress. Hopefully Miz will be able to handle it. Miz can do it! If not... Don't know how we people can manage to survive the coming years... Or even the next term. =_= Once we get settled more, maybe things will get better than what we expected then.

Taboo Game

Today was design class. It was in the former Fine Art's Room but then it turned into a classroom called F1. Many parts of Miz's college was renovated while it was Miz's semester break. =) Well, this has nothing to do with the Taboo gam so Miz will skip this part.

After having lectured by Wei Meng, who also previously taught us in Design last semester, we played the Taboo game! Those of you who do not know what game that is, Miz will tell you now! It's a card game! Google it up for more information if you wanna know more. ^^

So, when all of us done taking our turns playing, it was time for the lesson of the game. It's as simple as just finding alternative ways to find the solution. Don't let any barriers get in your way as there will be other ways to solve a problem, not just one.
